Families Struggling with Rent May Be Eligible for $6,500 Assistance

Who Qualifies for the $6,500 Housing Bonus?

To be eligible for this financial assistance, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Lack of Permanent Housing – Families must be experiencing temporary or unstable housing situations.
  • Children Enrolled in School – At least one child must be registered in the Students in Temporary Living Situations (STLS) program before December 9, 2024.
  • Participation in Government Assistance Programs – The applicant or guardian must be enrolled in SNAP, TANF, or state food assistance before March 9, 2025.
  • Residency Requirement – Applicants must reside in eligible counties designated for the program.

This program is designed to support families in financial distress, ensuring that children have a stable environment and access to essential resources.
